Tony Cragg is a contemporary British visual artist who was born in 1949. He has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and at the State Hermitage Museum.Many works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Divide' sold at Sotheby's New York 'Contemporary Art Day Sale ' in 2011 for $812,500. Tony Cragg was a 20-year-old laboratory assistant in the rubber industry when he decided to pursue his interest in drawing and study art. Graduating from the Royal College of Art in London in 1977, his early works were characterised by a dialogue with some of the Art Movements of the day.
